Palm Trees

The big tree greets you as you enter Dr. Mills office.

Annie's Rug

My friend, Annie York, asked if I could paint a "rug" on her porch floor. She taped off and painted a rectangle of primer the size we decided would work best in that area. Then she left it up to me as to what would happen next. For two days I went to her house and painted a pretend rug. I had a great time and came home each night worn out from sitting, standing, squatting, reaching, thinking and painting,

This group of trees started with three and that was supposed to be it. As I finished the initial three a request for two more to be added to the group was made and the 10 foot high tree for the entry was decided upon.

The next few photos are floors painted at  4 Bags, a shop in Fairhope, and the back porch of a private home .

This is the line work for the "rug" I painted on, my friend, Annie's floor. The base coat is the golden brown, after it dried I did the line art and then started adding color. This was a great job. Annie painted a rectangle of primer where we decided the rug should go and left me to do what I wanted. It is so nice to be given such freedom.
